Membership Committee
Membership is one of the seven standing committees recommended for all local units by the National PTA. The Membership Committee begins its work during the summer months by setting membership goals and putting together a membership campaign for the coming year. They continue their work by enrolling members during school registration and at school events throughout the year.
Your PTA can design a Membership Form that suits your own purposes, or you may use one of the following Forms for your PTA or PTSA:
The Membership Committee also ensures that membership dues are submitted to the Iowa PTA Office at the end of each month and that award forms are completed and mailed to the Iowa PTA Office on time. The most important job of the Membership Committee is retaining current members and recruiting new members.
