During the summer months each year, the Iowa PTA Membership Committee begins its job of promoting membership in PTA. This year-long campaign helps create public awareness of PTA and its programs and allows members to show their support for PTA. The purpose of the campaign is to help recruit new members and retain current members.

A new campaign theme is selected each year to focus on a specific type of potential member. Campaigning in this manner helps ensure that everyone, regardless of their age, occupation, or family situation, is encouraged to become a member of PTA.

National surveys show that individuals who are asked to volunteer are much more likely to volunteer than those who have not been asked. People who are asked to volunteer do! Ask someone to join your local PTA unit today.
