| A legislative program is the primary authority for action taken by an organization on federal and/or state legislation and regulations. It is the set of legislative issues that an organization advocates for.
The National and all state PTAs have legislative programs. The information in the legislative programs pertains to issues concerning the health, education, and welfare of children and youth and is used to determine which legislative issues qualify for the PTA's consideration. The legislative program is the document on which all legislative activity by the PTA is based.
