How to Advocate

What you do to improve laws, policies, and conditions on behalf of children is advocacy. You can advocate in your local community or to state and federal officials. Being an advocate requires only the willingness to speak up about issues that affect children and youth to the individuals that can actually make a change.

PTA is a non-partisan organization, which means that we deal with issues only, regardless of who is in office. PTA does not endorse or campaign on behalf of candidates or political parties. PTA advocates as an organization, which means that your voice when added to hundreds of others will be heard.

For more information about advocating, select one of the following.
