Each year, the Iowa PTA honors individuals and local PTA units with special awards for their hard work and efforts on the behalf of children and youth. These leadership awards are presented to PTA members, local PTA units, and community members.

Each award requires the completion of an application form. Application forms for awards presented during the Iowa PTA Convention must be postmarked no later than March 1 to qualify for the award. Specific requirements must be met to qualify for each award. Award recipients are selected by the Iowa PTA Leadership Committee.
